Even with covid keeping in person events going, we are making the most of our training time.  Lily and Triton can add Rally Intermediate to their names, after earning three consecutive passes in the AKC Virtual Rally Program !

Triton is such a heartbreaker! Man we love this puppy ! He is as sweet as he is handsome.

Lily and Triton both earn three consecutive passes to earn their American Kennel Club Rally Novice titles ! Both dogs received wonderful comments from the judges on their team work and working ability! 

Poodle Club of Ontario - CKC Rally Obedience Trials - Poodle Farm, Norfolk On - We were excited to get back in the ring and compete with our dogs.  Even though the shows are cancelled, we are keeping busy with training.  Very pleased with Lily and Triton who both performed excellently.  Triton and Lily passed both trials in Novice B and earned qualifying scores. One more to go for their title.

Every breeder has a dream.  A vision of the perfect embodiment of the breed they love so much.  For me that breed is the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever.

Over the last twenty years I have chased this ideal tirelessly.  Proudly Roaneden is home to Canada's Top Winning Tollers!

As much as Covid has put a damper on the past years’ activities, we have so much to be excited about.  Our up and coming generation of puppies are our best yet! I can’t wait to show them off to the fancy.

Triton has been the first of these pups to hit the show ring.  With just  one weekend in the ring in 2020, he proved he has the genes and heart to love being there. He was awarded back to back Best Puppy in Show wins and Best of Breed over campaign specials at just 6 months of age.

Triton, “MBPIS Roaneden’s Sea King NTD” is named to reflect not only the fact that Tollers are bred to retrieve and play in the ocean, but also his descent from greatness.

​Triton is son of Canada’s Top Winning Toller of all time, Harvey “MBVISS MBISS MBIS MRBIS MBPIS BPISS AmGCH/CanGCH Ex Roaneden’s Int’l Harvester JH WC ROM” who has the record for most CKC All Breed BIS (12), has won 7 BISS ( including 3 Nationals). Harvey was the first Toller to break into the Top 10 Dogs of All Breeds and #1 Sporting Dog, which had previously only been in my dreams.

Triton’s dam, “Cricket” “NBOSS Can/Am Ch Roaneden’s Sprngtime Serenade” is also of exceptional quality, finishing both her Canadian and American Championships with group placings from the classes / majors from National wins.  Cricket was BOSS ( to Harvey) BOW/BB from the Bred by class at the 2018 NSDTR USA National. WB/BB at the 2017 NSDTR USA National and BOW/BB at 2018 On NSDTR Regional Specialty.

Triton is line bred on his grandmother Candy who won the American National in 2015 “NBISS HIT Can/Am CH Roaneden of Great Pleasure CD”.

Quality runs deep within his pedigree and we are thrilled for him to represent “Roaneden” in the future !

At Roaneden, we are very proud to preserve the Tollers' natural retrieving instincts as well as their distinctive type and trainabililty. Genetics plays a major role in passing on these traits, and we work hard to ensure the Toller is true to function and form.

2020 was a very unusual show year with Covid shutting down pretty much all of the shows.  Triton was shown only one weekend, but won big.  He was undefeated in the classes and won Best of Breed over multiple Specials.  Back to Back Best Puppy in Show wins ranked him as #1 Toller Puppy in Canada and #10 Puppy all Breed in Canada for 2020.

November 6-8 2020 - Wildwood Kennel Club Shows - Triton makes his show debut at 6 months, coming home with Back To Back Best Puppy in Show wins! He earned 6 points towards his CKC Championship, undefeated in the classes and finished off the weekend, with a Best of Breed win over multiple Specials !
